I have only been cycling recreationally for about two years. My father and my brother are both avid cyclists, and lucky for me my brother works at an upstanding bike shop in Macon, GA. I am certain my first trip to Bike Tech will not be my last!

Matt completed a personalized bike fit for me this past week. His relaxed demeanor put me right at ease during the time I was getting fit. He kept me in the loop and educated me on the reasons behind many of the measurements he was taking, among other things.

He was very patient with me and explained things until I understood them. The biomechanics behind a bike fit are pretty precise and Matt was very thorough. He explained that a bike fit basically made the power you put into the pedals more efficient. After getting fit on a Friday night by Matt, my brother won a criterium race the next morning. After completing a couple of rides with the bike fit adjustments, I can definitely tell my pedal stroke on my bike was made more efficient. I am also more comfortable on my bike, something Matt spent a lot of time making sure was right for me and my bike. Matt stressed that a bike fit is not meant to change the rider, it is meant to manipulate the bike to work better for the individual rider.

Overall, it was a great first bike fit and I look forward to following up on my personalized fit at Bike Tech of Macon, GA!

Like Monte said, Bike Tech is like a family to me as well. During the year and a half I worked there, I met so many great people and had the pleasure of working with such a great crew! These guys know their stuff. If there is something they don't know, they want to learn about it! Now that I'm in Tennessee, I still try to call the boys once a week to kick the hornets nest a little! You guys are awesome! Miss y'all!

Thanks for the great new bike, Biketech!! Women, check out the specialized women's specific frames @ Biketech. There's is something to be said for women's specifc geometry (that's MY bike in the profile pic!!) on a bike for us petite ladies!!
